BODYBODYBODY workshops
During his residency at Door Foundation taking place at Door Open Space, Edward Lloyd is looking for people from the LGBTQIA+ community in Amsterdam to engage in a research around embodied activism and empowerment of Queer bodies through somatic movement practices.
This will take the form of four FREE weekly workshops which will be hosted at Door Open Space.
Departing from breath work, bodywork, and experimental social choreographies we will explore ways to regulate the nervous system and give language to sensation, collectively building somatic resources to navigate the daily lived experiences of Queer bodies.
The workshop will be physical, but no formal training is required. People of all physical abilities are encouraged to register.
While the common working language will be English, it is recognised and accounted for that English may not be everyone’s mother tongue.
