AMSTERDAM FRINGE FESTIVAL | THEATER WE OUT HERE
Two brothers wander away from reality, whilst a soft yet compelling night radio show fills the void.
“It’s time to walk to the light and accept your fate with open arms. Scared? Don’t worry.”
How do you connect with someone close to you who only believes in their own subjective world?
How can you stop them from escaping reality and undertaking fatal attempts?
Sometimes I sit and think and sometimes I just sit is developed by performers of Theater We Out
Here, under the direction of theater teacher Steven Dinkgreve. The texts are inspired by Japanese
literature and contemporary rappers. The young performers show a great arsenal of poetic
metaphors and dialogues that are transformed into a renewed language.
Theater We Out Here shows the stories that need to be told right now. These stories elicit
emotions, heal and must not remain unnoticed.
