„THIS QUIETNESS IS FAKE“

For one night, the pop-up exhibition and screening event This Quietness is Fake brings together the powerful and poignant work of different visual and performance artists, each confronting the complex nuances and reality of s3xual violence through different mediums. By visually expressing the unspoken and often unspeakable, the artists invite the audience to reflect on the pervasive nature of s3xual violence and the silence that perpetuates it.

The exhibition features work by Ankie van Kasteren, FBVG, Ianos, Jamie Gilbert,Katrin Rose and Rinia van Wijck, ranging from ceramics, paintings, installations, and glassworks. It is accompanied by two film screenings by Claudia Quaglia and Melia Weltzien and a panel talk with the artists and audience to, together, reflect on the role of art in the silence and speech surrounding s3xual violence.
